The Fea Family
The Fea family of Orkney has been researched by a group of descendants in the UK, USA, New Zealand and Australia and a website has been produced by Michael Rendall. This site covers several branches of the family and is updated as new information comes to hand. There is historical evidence of the Fea family on the Island of Stronsay since before 1600, however a gap in the records prevents making a connection between this historic Fea family and our earliest known ancestors, James Fea and Jane Cooper, who were married in 1796 on Stronsay and were Jeanette's Gt Gt Gt grandparents. Their grand daughter, Eleanor Wymms Fea, married William Linklater in Kirkwall and they migrated to Adelaide in 1866.
Clicking on the link below will take you to the section of the Northern-Skies website covering James and Jane Fea and their descendants. Other branches of the family who may be related can be accessed via the Northern-Skies menus. Genealogy Northern-Skies will open in a new window, leaving this website also available on the task bar at the bottom of your screen. Return by clicking the original entry on the task bar.
Thanks to Michael Rendall and the other researchers for this website.
