Family of Thomas Evans

William Paxton Evans

William was born on the 7th June, 1866 at Strathalbyn, S.A. and  married Lois Eunice (Sissy) Hopkins on the 20th June, 1888.  The wedding was celebrated by Rev. J. Young Simpson in the Glenelg home of Mr. Hopkins.  Lois was born on the 22nd August, 1862 in Victoria to Edward John and Louisa Eliza Hopkins, nee Oxley.

William and Lois lived at Blackwood, Stepney, Strathalbyn, Goodwood Park, Glenelg and Two Wells. He worked in the Accounts Branch of the General Post Office.

Dorothy, Millicent and Thomas Herbert

William died on the 28th January, 1949 at Blackwood.

Dorothy Grace Evans

Dorothy was born 6.5.1891 at Hackney, S.A.  Dorothy married Rupert Douglas Charles Scott and they had two children, Bob and Bill. Dorothy died on 24.2.1971 at Daw Park, S.A.

• Douglas Robert (Bob) Scott married (1) Alice Barbara Hewett (2) Estelle Betty Sawyer

Two sons and two daughters were born to Bob and Alice: -
• William Oxley (Bill) Scott married Elizabeth Lynette Martin and they had three sons and one daughter

Millicent Oxley Evans

Millicent was born 28.10.1894 at Hackney, S.A. and died 29.7.1961.  Never married.

Thomas and Hilda

Thomas Herbert Evans

Thomas was born.11.7.1899 at Goodwood Park died 9.8.1972) He married Hilda Joy Hunt on the 30th April, 1927 at St. Peters Church, Glenelg. Hilda was a twin and was born on 15.8.1902 at Kensington to William Henry & Agnes (Richards) Hunt.

Thomas was a Senior Technician with the General Post Office at Glenelg, McLaren Vale and Norwood.
